Motivation Status of Social Studies Teachers

Teaching quality is closely related to teacher qualifications. Motivation, which plays a significant role in teaching, affects the teacher’s performance positively or negatively, turn reflected student learning. The purpose of this study determine motivational situations social studies teachers on basis their motivations choose teaching profession and satisfaction with choice, self-efficacy beliefs qualities. In study, was conducted according case design, semi-structured interviews were held 7 teachers. data obtained analyzed using content analysis. As result research, important motivation factors that effective selection as career found be intrinsic value, prior learning experiences fallback career. Factors work children, time for family having job also choosing profession. It determined satisfied decision become addition, it teachers' perceptions not generally high. further qualities had positive negative effect motivation, including low lesson.
